Bringing the full perspective of a dynamic performing career to her own teaching, Catherine has had the opportunity to work with students of every age and ability. She has taught at conservatories, universities, festivals and masterclasses across the globe and has led creative musical activities in public schools all over the country, from Brooklyn, NYC to Los Angeles, CA.

Since 2015, Catherine has been the Flute Faculty member for the Decoda Chamber Music Festival, a summer program for young artists held each year, where she is passionate about working with and mentoring the next generation of young artists. Catherine has also as a performing faculty member for the Emerging Composers Intensive in the Carmel Valley, and in previous years has been invited to give masterclasses all over the world, including in Chile at the 10th International Flute Festival of Santiago, the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University (Australia), Yong Siew Toh Conservatory in Singapore, The Tianjin Juilliard School, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, The Curtis Institute of Music, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Eastman School of Music, The Hartt School, Lawrence University and Vassar College.

Catherine is also a creative partner for Carnegie Hall’s The Connected Musician: a self-paced, interactive video series for collegiate and early professional performers, inspired by the visionary mission of Ensemble Connect and featuring guidance from alums of the program and leaders in the field.

Catherine has served as Visiting Lecturer of Music in flute performance at Lawrence University, Conservatory of Music and interim Artist-lecturer in Flute at Moravian College . Catherine is currently on the faculties of The Colburn School as Pedagogy and Community Engagement instructor and the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music as Lecturer with the Music Industry Program and the newly appointed Director of the Gluck Fellowship Program, leading the UCLA Gluck Fellows in their Music Ensembles to engage, connect and share live chamber music performances at non-traditional venues all around the city of Los Angeles.

Catherine also offers bespoke workshops on best practices in community engagement and entrepreneurialism for today’s musicians.

She is now offering one-on-one lessons online via Zoom, Skype or FaceTime.
